Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Contract Type: Contract with potential for extension or full-time
Bill Rate: $91/hr

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on building and optimizing data pipelines, primarily using AWS services. You will work closely with a team of nine, including offshore partners, to manage and enhance data processing and integration.
Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development (60%): Design and implement data pipelines using AWS services (experience with Azure or GCP is also acceptable).
  
• Pipeline Optimization (30%): Review and improve existing pipelines and data processing workflows.
  
• Scrum Meetings and Ad Hoc Tasks (10%): Participate in team meetings and address ad hoc requirements as needed.
  
  Technical Skills:
  
  
• Python: Proficient in scripting and data processing (Pyspark knowledge not required).
  
• SQL: Strong skills in writing and reading SQL scripts.
  
• ETL Processes: Experience in extracting data from relational databases, processing JSON files, and managing data lakes.
  
• AWS Tools: Familiarity with Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, and Redshift.
  
  Experience Required:
  
  
• Minimum of 8 years in IT.
  
• At least 3-5 years of experience with Python, SQL, and ETL processes.
  
  Communication Skills:
  
  
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and offshore partners.
